The Rhegion Travel Family
We are an Italian family business, with a very long experience in the field of organized group travel. Rhegion Travel was founded in 1983 from the idea of Giuseppe Nucera originally from a small town of Greek culture and language on the slopes of Aspromonte where ancient Greek is still spoken today, hence the name Rhegion which in Greek means Reggio, from the Calabrian city of the same name, the company’s administrative first headquarters.

In 1980, Giuseppe begins working in the social tourism sector. In 1983 he founds Tourist Services Srl with the trademark Rhegion Travel from the Greek name of his hometown and commences the Tour Operator activity by printing the first catalogs. He promotes the brand image of Calabria in Italy and overseas. In 1995 he offers the first charter flights from Mosca to Lamezia Terme consequently to the Italian incoming market as an authorized reseller of Expo 2015.

Elisabetta believed in and shared the idea of the Tourist Services Srl right from the start. “This company was born from a great passion for travel, every opportunity to travel was seized upon.” After a career in the banking world, Betty actively collaborates with Rhegion Travel, lending her valuable experience in the administration and accounting of the company.

Expert in yoga, meditation, and organic lifestyle, Simona has traveled all over Italy and to over 60 countries and studying extensively between the UK, USA India, and South East Asia. Her favorite destination is the world, which she continues to travel around continuously.
She organizes wellness and yoga Retreats in Italy and many other destinations.
Marilù Nucera
Incoming Italy – Resorts

After working experience within a renowned US consultancy firm operating in the financial sector, Marilù became part of Rhegion Travel in May 2010. She collaborates from the Milan-based office and she is mainly accountable for group travels, tailored tours, and incoming in Italy Calabria and Sicily. She is responsible for the management of the Resorts owned by Tourist Services in the summer period, contributing to the sales side for groups and individuals by participating in sector fairs.
Ilaria Nucera
Incoming Italy – Events and Villas
Ilaria starts working in the tourism sector during her adolescence. After achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations at University IULM in Milan, she specializes in Event and Congress Management thanks especially to the experience gained at Boscolo.
Ilaria is an expert in organizing events and holidays in villas and country houses owning and managing Molino Monacelli Country House in Fano, Le Marche.
